Magnavi-M glass Fiber: New high modulus glass fiber

Technical Readiness Level:

TRL 7

Saint-Gobain Vetrotex has developped a new high modulus and high tensile strength glass fiber in collaboration with NSG Group called MAGNAVI™, a trademark of Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd.. MAGNAVI™ is a new high modulus and specific strength glass fibre offering superior mechanical properties compared to conventional E-glass fibre while keeping high radiopermeability and thermal resistance.

Main applications in aerospace are reinforcement part of rotor blades, cargo liners, Internal floor or aircraft wings.
