737 Ducting Section

Environmental control systems ducting

Saint-Gobain Aerospace is a global leader in supplying low pressure air ducting kits to support Passenger to Freight (P2F) conversions. Our experts employ state-of-the-art methods in fulfilling your conversion requirements. We have the capability to provide P2F accessories and fully support our customer’s conversion requests.

Historically ECS ducting was made with fiberglass covered molded flame retardant cast rigid isocyanate foam. With its lightweight structure, moderate strength, and ability to be molded into complex shapes, the rigid foam process is an excellent choice for self-insulating air distribution ducts. We can also make composite ducting made of flame retardant prepregs, including sandwich ducting.

Saint-Gobain Aerospace also uses its 3D knitted technology to optimize all manufacturing aspects of ECS ductings. We are currently using this technology on all Dassault Business jet fleet.

Thermoforming Plastics

Cabin interior parts

We build specialty parts for all aviation segments and other various industry like electronics and robotics. Our thermoforming process is ideal for 2D+ complex geometries and smaller quantity needs.

In our thermoforming process, the material is drawn over a heated mold under vacuum and allowed to cool down to set its final shape. We then use our 5 axis CNC to trim and drill the parts before the final assembly and paint to meet the customer requirements.

We have worked with various interior cabin Tier 1 to provide a wide diversity of smaller scale parts from flight attendant jump seats parts and diverse fairings.

Dryliner

Dryliner

The Dryliner is a proprietary product specifically designed to eliminate moisture buildup in aircraft insulation blankets by directing moisture away from the blanket and into the bilge area. Dryliner sheets are installed between the aircraft skin and insulation blanket to insure proper air circulation and moisture drainage. It is made from a lightweight flame resistant thermoplastic material.

This polycarbonate made material can be trimmed easily with shop scissors and fits between aircraft frames. Thanks to its interlocking geometry, no fasteners are required.
