DEFENSOR-Flex® Multilayer ML - fire and heat protection

The DEFENSOR-Flex® brand stands for safety and protection for Electric Vehicle Batteries, covering the whole mobility sector. Depending on individual customers' needs and the intention of use, DEFENSOR-Flex® provides:

• Protection against high temperatures and fires, mitigating thermal runaway on pack- module- or cell level.
• Flitration of hot toxic gases, dust and particles in case of thermal runaway.
• Pressure relief and protection of neighbouring cells against particles and flames.

DEFENSOR-Flex® Multilayer consist of a non-woven glass- and silicatefiber needle mat laminated between two thin layers of fire resistant substrate. They act at the battery pack level:

• Mitigating thermal runaway propagation between modules or external to pack.
• Non-combustible materials with high temperature and electrical resistance.
